The inspiration for Liane Carlo Suelan's creative work, "Samuel's Diary Entry," is Alice Tan Gonzales’ “Ang Likum sang Isla San Miguel.” It is an invented diary entry written by the protagonist, Samuel. In it are speculated thoughts, events, and details a few days after Samuel arrived at the city.
