by Gianna Pamplona and Jillian Lei Belaro | Humans Interacting with the Waters

Two poems — one which champions Tumandok culture, history, and identity and another of nostalgia and the desire to witness Bukidnon in its former glory, rich in culture and unmarred by colonialism.

BA in Literature students, Gianna Pamplona and Jillian Lei Belaro, share their reflections and literary manifestations of Alicia P. Magos' Sea Episodes in the Sugidanon and the Boat-Building Tradition in Central Panay, Philippines (1999). Magos' work is part of the motif unit, Humans Interacting with the Waters.

Indeed, life is a series of adaptation as man continuously tries to cope with the new environment. — Alicia P. Magos
